Focused on overcoming trauma, the reconstruction of memory and reconciliation

ICIP

ICIP and the Truth, Memory and Reconciliation Commission of Colombian Women in the Diaspora have organized the training series "Training in psychosocial support for memory facilitators" with the aim of learning about and reflecting on different healing mechanisms for victims of a conflict. The training sessions will highlight the role that spirituality can play in overcoming trauma, the reconstruction of memory and reconciliation.

The training series is part of the ICIP work program "Peacebuilding and development of coexistence after violence," through which various strategy papers of memory, truth and reconciliation have been developed.

The Truth, Memory and Reconciliation Commission of Colombian Women in the Diaspora is a citizen initiative that works to contribute to peacebuilding in Colombia. Based on a participatory methodology, the Commission has embarked on the process of documenting the experiences of Colombian women in the armed conflict and in their migratory processes.
